Do you allow ceremonial fires (for Hindu weddings)? 

Yes, however, we have to get a fire permit and marshall and the cost of that would be forwarded on to the client. 

Do you allow outside catering?

We have a list of approved outside caterers, including Kiran's and Aga's, but there is a buyout fee of $5,000. 

When was the venue last renovated? 

We added our new bridal and groom suites in 2019.

Tell us about your full-service package.

The Astorian offers a full-event planning service. The skilled coordinators ensure that your wedding runs smoothly and helps you relax. The Houston-based wedding venue offers spacious dressing rooms and private suites so you can prepare for the big day. To offload some stress, the Astorian also offers swift shuttle services, valet parking, and wheelchair access.

On the day of your event, staff members will set up lighting and sound equipment for your selected musician or DJ. The Astorian provides comfortable chairs and tables as part of the setup services. Our wedding venue also offers professional bartenders who are licensed to serve alcoholic drinks, like champagne, wine, premium liquor, and beer. 

What all is included in the wedding venue rental?

• Furnishings for up to 450 guests, which includes 60-inch rounds, 72-inch rounds, 48-inch rounds, 30-inch high or low cocktail tables, 6-foot, and 8-foot rectangular tables, and mahogany Chiavari chairs with ivory cushions
• Five hours of set-up time & two hours of breakdown time
• Two private suites
• Bridal and/or engagement photo session
• One-hour ceremony rehearsal (date and time are event dependent)
• Coat check (upon request)
• Janitorial services upon conclusion of your event
• One formally attired elevator attendant
• Two formally attired restroom attendants
• Experienced onsite venue manager and operations support team 

Are there any decor / design restrictions? 

Yes, we do not allow glitter, rice, confetti, color bombs, or balloon drops. All decor and design must be approved by the Astorian. 

What is your date change/cancellation policy? 

All payments are non-transferable and nonrefundable with the exception of force majeure.  

What is the cost of parking for wedding guests? 

We require a valet for all of our events. The valet charge is included with the staffing cost which is paid for by the client. The guests do not have to pay for anything. 

How early can vendors arrive to set up at the venue?

We only host one event per day so set up can start at 9:00 am or 5 hours prior to guest arrival. Depending on the day of the week that the event occurs and the schedule of other events surrounding the event, we can allow set up to begin the day prior to the event.

Will venue staff help with cleanup?

Yes, the cleaning is included in the rental fee

Do the venues come with a bridal suite or changing room?
