I chose Horseshoe Bay for my wedding venue because of the gorgeous grounds. My in laws are from San Francisco and everyone from their family would be traveling to Texas for me and I wanted them to have a nice resort style experience which they definitely got. 10/10 would recommend the hotel/resort. It’s beautiful, the golf courses are awesome, everything is gorgeous. HOWEVER. I had SO MUCH trouble communicating with the event planners on site. They were slow to respond to emails, would not answer all the questions I asked, etc. It was PAINFUL. Now, if you have a wedding planner, I suppose they would take the grunt of this and you may never even know. I planned my own wedding and felt like their on-site team was awful. I guess I would still say it’s worth it all in all because the venues were so beautiful. My entire wedding (4 events) were all outdoors. The Falls Point lawn was my favorite venue of them all. Shoreline does not fit 200 people, they will tell you it does, but it’s way too tight for that. The amphitheater was perfect for my reception (230 people). We used all outside caterers, so I can’t speak much to the food. They did our wedding day brunch which was tasty (I recommend you do the full sit down tasting to finalize the menu if you go with them). The bartenders were good, but slow and I felt the top shelf prices were a bit high compared to other venues. Overall, I am so glad I chose Horseshoe bay because the location was beautiful and my guests loved the downtime to golf, swim, kayak, etc. the communication could definitely use some improvement and they did seem a bit overwhelmed with 2 other weddings being hosted there that weekend and the price was a little steep, but ended up being worth it for us.
