I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Vara and her team for her services and for taking care of me and my husband during the final stages of wedding planning. I got married in January 2022 in Dallas, Texas, and hired Vara for wedding coordinator services for the final two months, for an Indian Christian wedding ceremony and reception. During this time, the Omicron variant was uncontrollably spreading throughout Dallas, and we experienced multiple planning issues relating to COVID. Given I had a flexible work schedule to permit sufficient time for wedding planning and I prefer to micromanage absolutely everything, I was very reluctant to hire a professional wedding planner. However, hiring Vara was the best decision we made during this process, as we quickly learned we could entrust her to coordinate with our vendors and ensure everything went smoothly the day-of. For anyone who is skeptical on the need for a planner, you should note that in the final weeks leading up to the wedding, you might start to get frustrated communicating with certain vendors and will prefer to outsource the communication to someone else, and you might run out of time to plan the core logistics because you’re focused on working with family members regarding detailed cultural and religious elements. Vara efficiently handled all coordination with vendors, and focused on the crux of the wedding logistics so that we could focus on other things. During this stage of the pandemic, where wedding season is in full swing but it is still crucial to consider the impact of COVID on the viability and quality of vendor services during negotiations, I have to emphasize that despite difficult vendors, it was seamless to work with Vara. Unfortunately some vendors will not provide alternative flexible options that are requested in response to something as uncontrollable as COVID, even if it costs them nothing or has no material impact on their overall effort. We felt instantly relieved every time we brought up an issue to Vara because she found a way for her and her team to handle it. It was just so wonderful to work with a professional partner who you could count on. Importantly, Vara was quick to adapt to changing and unforeseen circumstances due to the Omicron variant. With how much work goes into wedding planning, we are so thankful that in the week leading up to the wedding, we had the confidence that everything would go smoothly thanks to Vara & team. Even on the day of the wedding, if we brought up any last-minute issues, it was gracefully and efficiently addressed with a positive attitude. Looking back on our big day (which we think went almost perfectly), we cannot thank Vara & team enough for their role!

Choosing Vara as our wedding planner was absolutely the best decision we made during our wedding planning! We were one of the lucky couples with a wedding planned in June 2020 when gatherings were limited to 50 people in Texas. We ended up having to postpone our wedding to Sept. 2020, and Vara was so great throughout that difficult process. She coordinated all vendors to be on the same page, find a new day that worked for everyone, scheduled video calls with us very often to make sure we were all on the same page, and even surprised us with a sweet cake swing. My husband and family had secret performances planned, and she was so great in planning that with them. On the actual wedding day, I just enjoyed myself. Everything fell into place because of God but also through God blessing us with Vara as a planner. Her team went above and beyond what we could imagine. She really made it a special day for us. She also was so thoughtful in making time for us to eat. She helped my husband drape the shawl on his sherwani. We absolutely love her and adore her.

The Weddings by Vara team is so amazing! I spoke to many of the prominent wedding planners in the Houston and Dallas area, but none of them connected with me the way Vara did. She is the sweetest person ever and she handled every aspect of our Dallas/Houston Covid wedding perfectly. She kept in contact with every single one of our vendors and coordinated all of our schedules with great detail and efficiency. Vara made my wedding day so special and made sure I had zero stress on all of the days of my events. Her attention to detail and her amazing team made everything so effortless and smooth for me and my husband. She worked with our budget for pricing and was so kind and flexible regarding what we needed. She made sure every single last minute craziness was dealt with and prioritized what me and and my husband wanted for our special day. Every single person that met her from our families only had great things to say about her. Vara and her team took great care of me and I’m so glad I got a new friend out of my experience with her. She will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need without compromising your wedding vision. She’s truly the best and I would recommend her to everyone!
