What do you love most about being a dance choreographer?

To choreograph a dance performance is an amazing feeling because you’re given the opportunity to help someone celebrate an important memorable day - a wedding.

As a dance choreographer, I love seeing how the choreographed dance pieces from day one turn into a complete beautiful dance routine. I always ask my clients to send the final dance performance. I enjoy working closely with the clients to make sure they are satisfied with the final product.

What styles of dance do you specialize in?

I specialize in all types of dances ranging from Bollywood, raas/garba, fusion, and classical. I’ve worked with all age groups ranging from young kids to adults.

What does your process look like working with clients to teach them a dance for their wedding?

The process varies based on the client needs. The process begins with a phone consultation with the client to better understand their goals and confirm a song. Then I choreograph the dance and send it to the client to make sure they are satisfied with the results and adjust accordingly. Once the choreography is finalized, a full recorded video is sent to the client and the dancers. Throughout the weeks/months leading up to the wedding, I check in with the client to see the progress with the dancers. Further services such as step-by-step breakdown and online video classes are offered based on the dancer’s needs.

How do you teach clients who have never danced before or are self-conscious?

I encourage new/self-conscious dancers to try their best and ask questions! I also work closely with new dancers to adjust the hand and footwork to a simpler format.

Where do you provide training sessions?

In person classes are in the DMV area. However, I work with clients across America through an online platform.
